Bungarribee Community Resource Hub

Architect– Simpson Wilson
Description– The Hub is an important meeting place for the new community of Bungarribee, a developing suburb of Blacktown. Engaged by Urban Growth NSW Guppy & Associates worked with architects Simpson Wilson to integrate art into the design. The façade work ‘Patterns of Place’ by Robyn Caughlan responds to the site’s Aboriginal heritage. In the children’s room local children worked with artist Graham Chalcroft on an art frieze ‘Jockey Colours’. In the foyer ‘Bungarribee’ by Marian Abboud with Darug artist Leanne Tobin uses image, painting, text and found objects to recall the past.
